In eighth grade, our founder, Bhavya, made a surprising move from the suburbs of Southern California to those of Northern California. To her astonishment, she discovered a significant disparity in science equipment and curriculum quality in her new classrooms. What was even more shocking was that this was Silicon Valley, renowned as the global epicenter of STEM innovation. This stark contrast ignited Bhavya's vision to address this gap, leading to the founding of The Punia Foundation. Drawing inspiration from a transformative free summer camp she attended, Bhavya established the foundation with a mission to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, has access to the high-quality STEM education they deserve.
